The two most common small rodent infestations come in the form of either House Mice or Norway Rats.
The common House Mouse is a small creature, three to four inches long with grey fur. They are apt jumpers, able to jump to heights three times their own height as well as being able to jump down from distances as far as eight feet high.
Norway Rats are large rodents, eight to ten inches long with grayish-black fur. They are largely nocturnal animals that are highly destructive to structures. They are occasionally known to bite.
Both rats and mice are known carriers of diseases, therefore it is recommended that rat or rodent infestations are treated quickly by a professional exterminator.
